Obituary of Rita T. Fisher
Rita T. Fisher, beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 79. Rita was welcomed into Heaven by her beloved husband the late John and her son the late Michael Fisher. Rita is survived by her son Christopher (Marjory). Rita was the sister of Madeline (the late Gene) Murphy and Eleanor Kelly, and the aunt of Kevin, Sheila, Edward, and Lori.
Rita's life was rich with cherished relationships, none more enduring than her friendship with the Dimoulas family, spanning over 65 years. Together, they crafted countless memories, particularly at the Breezy Point Surf Club, where Rita held membership for over 40 years. Rita's affinity for the beach and her joy in the company of family and friends were evident in those cherished moments.
Proud of her Irish heritage, Rita embraced her roots. She was renowned for her skill in baking her famous Irish Soda Bread, a recipe passed down through generations. St. Patrick's Day held a special place in her heart, where she reveled in the music, dancing, and the spirited parade celebrations.
Rita's warmth, kindness, and love touched the lives of all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of laughter, love, and cherished memories that will be forever treasured by those fortunate enough to have known her. Rita's spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May she rest in peace.
