To Rita’s Family and Friends,
I was so sorry to learn of Rita’s passing. We worked together at the Corps of Engineers. She was more than a co-worker, she was a good friend. We still talk about her cheesecake and famous soda bread. We always had something to look forward to during the holidays. She was a wonderful person who was so proud of Chris and Michael. Although we knew that we would miss her tremendously when she retired we were all so happy for her knowing that work would not interfere with her Surf Club summers at H court. May she Rest In Peace.

To Rita’s family and friends,
We were so saddened to learn of Rita’s passing. Rita was a valued employee of the New York District US Army Corps of Engineers for over 35 years and was respected and loved by all who knew her. Whether making her famous soda bread or helping co-workers with a difficult issue she was always there for us. We remember hearing of her Surf Club adventures and was always impressed how she could get home from a party in the wee hours of the morning and only be an hour late for work – a feat that our younger office members could never replicate. We hope that she was able to enjoy the last years of her life and the retirement that she so richly deserved. May she rest in peace.
