I love you dad and miss you very much!!! I was thinking the other day about the time when the knob on the faucet from the bathroom I liked to use broke and you went to Home Depot to replace it. You purchased a plain chrome knob because it was practical and cheaper than the others.
You came home installed it without my even having to ask.
When I saw the fixed sink instead of being grateful, I complained that the sink now looked ugly.
The next day after I came home from school, the sink had pretty sparkly crystal knobs. This made me feel so special and I have never forgotten how you went out of your way to make me know how much you love me. I love you too!!!

My loving father was always very supportive. As a teen, I loved cooking and baking. He encouraged me to always try my best. No matter what I made or how it taste, he always appreciated my effort.
Once I was cooking a pot of soup and instead of using the regular sized pepper shaker, I used the large refill container to add pepper. I didn't spoon in a little, instead I shook the container over the pot and accidentally dumped in a lot lot lot of pepper. The entire top surface of the soup was black. After skimming what I could off, my dad sampled the soup. His eyes watered, he was coughing, and with watery eyes he smiled and said he was proud of me.
Thank you dad! I love you!! XOXO
Barbara
