Charlie was a true gentleman. I had the pleasure of working with him on the Breezy Board and when he spoke it was like E.F. Hutton, everybody listened. I know his family will miss him deeply but so will the Breezy Point community he loved so much.

I worked with and for Inspector Charles Rorke in Queens Detectives. He was hard working honest and fair minded. He accomplished much with little fanfare and I was fortunate to have met and known him. We stayed in contact over the years after retirement. I enjoyed working with and for him. He was a good friend. One time he lent my wife Karen his daughters saddle, which she greatly appreciated. He will be greatly missed

i am Grace Paquette's son, Paul. Grace is Charlie's cousin. I only had the chance to meet Charlie twice. I recall taking my Mom to a reunion in Breezy Point and spending the afternoon with Charlie. He was such a gregarious and welcoming person. We had a very good talk that day, and I was so pleased to have met him.

Sincere condolences to the family of Mr. Rorke, who I had the pleasure to meet on a few occasions. A professional in every sense, he was a gentleman to all. RIP.

Charlie Roarke was the quintessential man....loving,gentle,caring,dependable and a great sense of humor. The world has lost a wonderful person but Heaven has gained one great soul. I shall miss him.
