Obituary of Alfred Scuderi
Alfred Scuderi of Brooklyn, NY on September 2, 2024 at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband to Connie (nee DeFalco) for over 60 years. Mr. Scuderi (Freddie to half of the family) was born May 30, 1935 in Yonkers, NY, the son of Dominick and Carmela (nee Messina). He served in the Air Force Reserves stationed in the United Kingdom. He loved his vegetable garden, playing chess, paddleball, and spending time with his grandchildren. He worked in financial operations for the New York Stock Exchange which became Depository Trust Company for over 25 years. Alfred was very proud to earn an Associates degree in Accounting from Kingsborough Community College and for the college degrees his children earned.
Alfred was an active member of the community, participating in the Hopalong club and well known by all his neighbors. Surviving are his three children Joanne Angiolini (husband Anthony, daughter Giovanna), Maria Scuderi, and Joseph Scuderi (wife Ann Zhu, son Xavier) as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his 4 siblings; Vera Bohnik (nee Scuderi), Peter Scuderi, Mary Morin (nee Scuderi) , and John Scuderi.
Visiting will be on Thursday 2-5 and 7-9 at the Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday September 6th at 10 am in Saint Columba Church, Kimball Street in Brooklyn.
