Obituary of Lorraine M. Perry
Our beautiful mother Lorraine Marie Perry passed away surrounded by her family on June 6, 2024. Lorraine was born in Brooklyn to Al and Bridie Oberle on October 25, 1963. She married Brian Perry in 1985 and went on to have 2 daughters and 6 grandchildren who she absolutely cherished. Lorraine was so proud of her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed drawing and painting with them and watching their sporting events. She loved hosting holidays. She loved to dance and sing. She loved boating and the beach. She loved spending time with her childhood friends and all the friends she made at her home away from home, Buckley's, where she worked for 30 years. She enjoyed working with children and went on to become a paraprofessional where she helped many children with disabilities. Lorraine was kind, hard-working, compassionate and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She gave the best hugs. She was a great mother and friend to all. She will be terribly missed.
Lorraine is survived by her father Aloyse, her two daughters; Kristin (James), Allison (Mark), her 6 grandchildren; Savannah, Ryleigh, Olivia, Lacey, Connor and Brian. She is also survived by her sister Lisa (Danny) and her brothers Thomas (Nancy) and Patrick.
Fill not your hearts with pain and sorrow, but remember me in every tomorrow. Remember the joy, the laughter, the smiles, I’ve only gone to rest a little while. Although my leaving causes pain and grief, my going has eased my hurt and given me relief.
So dry your eyes and remember me, not as I am now,
but as I used to be. Because I will remember you all and look on with a smile. Understand, in your hearts, I’ve only gone to rest a little while.
As long as I have the love of each of you, I can live my life in the hearts of all of you.
Reposing on Friday, June 14 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home, 3024 Quentin Road, Brooklyn.
