Obituary of Antoinette Rositano
Antoinette Rositano passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on May 25, 2024 after a period of illness. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 22, 1930, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Antoinette grew up surrounded by her large family of 8 other siblings and her parents. Antoinette is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, William Rositano, her devoted daughters Roseanne and her husband Robert Fraumeni, Annette and her husband William Steward. Antoinette is also survived by three adored grandchildren Nicole Fraumeni and (James Larsen); Jillian and (Dr Stephen) Hongach, Janine Fraumeni, and precious great grandson Leo Stephen Hongach. Antoinette is predeceased by her daughter Diane, her 8 siblings Lena, Helen, Anne, Julia, Josephine, Frank, Ralph and Palma, and by her beloved parents Albina and Joseph Fico.
Antoinette was affectionately dubbed “Aunt Baby” by her numerous nieces and nephews, a nickname she proudly embraced.
Antoinette will always be remembered for her love of family, warmth, and sense of humor. She loved reading magazines and keeping up with fashion trends and current events. She enjoyed crafting and decorating. She was an avid gardener, and her home was her pride and joy.
Antoinette had a soft spot for furry friends, treating each and every one like the valuable family members they were. She also cared for neighborhood strays, further extending her circle of warmth and compassion to them.
Antoinette was passionate about her jobs as a stenographer for the Navy, assistant manager at Hallmark, and her role in the Healthcare field as a receptionist/medical
assistant for HIP where she proudly worked for nearly 20 years.
We couldn’t have asked for a better parent/grandparent/great-grandparent, and we will miss her every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her. Her spirit will forever shine through and her love will continue to guide and illuminate our path.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to her constant caregiver companions, Grace and Annette, for their compassionate care , dedication, and unwavering commitment, enabling her to remain at home for the vast duration of her illness. We are so grateful.
Wake service will be on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home. 3024 Quentin Road Brooklyn, NY 11234, 718-339-8900.
Funeral mass will be on Friday May 31, 2024 at Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. 1950 Batchelder Street Brooklyn, NY 11229.
Committal service will immediately follow to St. John's Cemetery. 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue Middle Village, NY 11379.
