Obituary of Bridget Oberle

Bridget (Bridie) Oberle passed away on November 9, 2023. The visitation will be held at Marine Park Funeral Home on Thursday November 16, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Saint Francis DeSales Catholic Church on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Father Cunningham officiating.

Bridie was born in the County of Mayo, Ireland to Thomas and Kate Holleran on September 17, 1930. She made her way to Brooklyn, New York in the late 1940s and ultimately decided to make it her home. She married Aloyse (Al) Oberle on October 5, 1957 and together they raised 4 children.

Bridie loved cooking, baking, hosting holidays and more than anything else, shopping and dressing her children and grandchildren in the latest fashions. She also loved spending time in Florida and Atlantic City.

Bridie is survived by her loving husband Al, her four children; Lisa (Danny), Lorraine, Thomas (Nancy) and Patrick, her 4 grandchildren; Kristin (James), Allison (Mark), Ryan and Katie, and her 6 great-grandchildren; Savannah Bridget, Ryleigh, Olivia, Lacey, Connor and Brian. She is also survived by her sisters Maureen and Peggy and her brother Patrick.
