Especially some of the old time residents used to call him Master Yoda ( from the Star Wars)
Took him a little time to approach the operating table but when he was operating the force was with him.
He made very difficult cases look easy
And he was always a go to person, willing to help and teach anyone.
He was a great doctor, very gifted surgeon and wonderful human being.
He had a huge impact on my life both personally and professionally and he meant a lot to me.
We will all miss him dearly.

In loving memory of Dr. Pili. I have been an extended member of the Pili family for over 28 wonderful years taking care of his most precious children, Betsy and Chrissy. For these years have fulfilled me with great joy. In these years, I had developed a high regard for Dr. Pili’s dedication to his family and patients who were his “children”. I’m so sorry to hear the news. I loved Dr Pili very much. He delivered my three kids. He was a wonderful and caring doctor. Over the years we kept in touch. My oldest is 43. We would randomly contact each other and catch up on what was going on in each others lives. I will miss him very much.

Dr. Pili was my teacher, my mentor and most of all my friend. Will always remember our Friday’s.
In surgery, he not only gave me his guidance, his insight but also provided the confidence and patience needed for the job. Then out for a Peter Luger steak, where the lessons in life began. His easy going ways, his laugh and compassion for others, all will be missed.
At the end of the day we all want to be like Dr. Pili.

Dr. Pili was a valued colleague and great friend to my parents, who often spoke highly of his skill as a surgeon.
His immensely strong and generous spirit is also evident in his daughters, Beth and Chrissy.
May he finally be reunited with his wife and rest in peace.

Dear Elizabeth and Christina
The sudden loss of your dad, Dr. Pili really came as a shock to me.
The last time he didn’t join us at our regular Community Hospital friends luncheon last month, we all thought it was just one of his “not feeling great” days. Never thought that that would become the last time we heard from him.
I have been privileged to know Dr. Pili for many years as a knowledgeable, skilled and caring GynecologyOncology consultant/surgeon who took care of my innumerable Cancer patients who praised and were pleased with his professional services.
As a colleague, I’ve never
remembered him saying “No” to any assistance asked of him.
As a friend, your family was also very close to my family for years. We have had many memorable gathering celebrations and enjoyable events together.
May he Rest peacefully and happily with Mrs. Pili and old friends ( Sem and Tony ) in Heaven with Jesus.

We always enjoyed seeing Dr. Pilli and his girls at Christmas every year. He was mischievous and sweet, and you could tell by the way Beth and Chrissy doted on him that he was a good man and father. I hope the many find memories will be a source of comfort to his family as they mourn his passing.
