Obituary of Edward R Wood

Edward R. Wood, age 79, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2021.

Edward was a devoted fan of the New York Mets, Rangers and Giants, and was also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus.

Edward was predeceased by his loving parents Edward R. Wood and Dorothy (nee Triebe) Wood, stepfather Arthur Falco, mother-in-law Margaret Burke and father-in-law John Joseph Burke, and brother Gerald Wood.

Edward is survived by his loving wife, Helen (nee Burke) Wood.

He leaves behind caring sons John (Jeanne) Kennedy, Brian (Kathleen) Kennedy and Robert (Maria) Wood.

Edward is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Dylan Kennedy and Tara Kennedy; Krystyne Kennedy and Brianne Kennedy; Michael Wood, Alexander Wood and Robert Wood, Jr.

He will be dearly missed by his brother Thomas (Margaret) Wood and sister-in-law Patricia Wood, along with many nieces and nephews.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May Edward's soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Marine Park Funeral Home.

Mass will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 9:30 AM at Resurrection Roman Catholic Church
