Layle Giusto

Obituary of Layle H. Giusto

Layle H. Giusto (Rattray) went peacefully to be with her Lord on November 3rd. She was born in New York to Osbourne “Val” Harvey  and Gladyce (Williams) Harvey and was a professional dancer in her teens before becoming a mother of five. She spent many years working as a Registered Nurse and in retirement became a published author. She attended Grace United Methodist Church, was a faithful member of United Methodist Women and enjoyed attending the local senior center. Layle was the matriarch of our family and will be sorely missed by all.

She was a devoted wife to Barrington Rattray, loving mother to Joseph (LeAnn) Giusto and son-in-law Michael Dunson, beloved grandmother to Lawrence Giusto, Serena (Jemond) Daye, Seneida Giusto, Terrance Giusto, Syretta Giusto, Lucas (Reyna) Giusto, Victoria Giusto, Tiffany Harris and Steven Grant, and eight great grandchildren (Marques, Desta, Laurell, Russulle, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Sarah and Lajeviar) and three great-great grandchildren; and cherished stepmother to Wayne Rattray, Annise Rattray, Andrea Rattray and Michelle Rattray. She was predeceased by her children Serena Dunson, Anthony Giusto, Gregory Giusto, Vincent Giusto and two great grandsons (Lawrence and Matthew).
