Obituary of Pauline Annunziata
Pauline Annunziata, age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Born in 1934 in New York, NY, she was the cherished daughter of the late Salvatore Proto and Nunziata Giarrizzo.
Pauline was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest joy in life was her family. A strong believer in God, her faith guided her throughout her life and was a source of strength, kindness, and compassion that she shared with everyone around her. She lived her life with quiet grace, generosity, and a deep love for her family.
Pauline was also known for being a wonderful cook and baker. Her kitchen was always filled with the comforting aromas of homemade meals and baked goods, and she lovingly brought family and friends together around her table. Sharing food was one of the many ways she showed her love, and the traditions she created will live on through generations.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Pasquale Annunziata; her son, Steven Annunziata; her sisters, Rose Grassi and Mary Zimmerman; and her brothers, Sebastiano Proto and Anthony Proto.
Pauline is survived by her loving children: her daughter Benedetta; daughter-in-law Christine; sons Gregory and his wife Dianne, Patrick and his wife Jennifer, and Thomas and his wife Maria.
She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Kristen and her husband Vito, Lauren and her husband Gabriel, Matthew, Christian, Nicole, and Patrick. Pauline was also blessed to be a great-grandmother to Mila, Theo, Sebastian, and Remy.
She also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Pauline’s legacy of love, family, and kindness will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
